What we store. Your chosen display name, your email address and a password hash if you create an account, the things you build, confirm and flag, points and coins, the photos you upload, and basic product events (for example that you opened the app or finished onboarding) with your IP address for abuse prevention.
What is public. Your display name on everything you build, and the plots, photos and hoardings themselves. Your email address and IP address are never public.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which features are used. It sets its own cookies and sends usage data to Google; see how Google uses this data. We do not sell personal data and we run no advertising trackers.
Third parties the app talks to. OpenFreeMap for the basemap, Esri for optional satellite imagery, Open-Meteo for weather, Google Fonts for the typeface, Google for sign-in and analytics. They see your IP address when tiles, weather or fonts are requested, as any website does.
Your location. Only used when you tap the locate button, only in your browser, never stored.
Deleting your account. Email hello@citynovus.com from your account email. Your name is removed from the map; the things you built stay, as open data, credited to "a former player".
Cookies. One session cookie to keep you logged in. Browser storage for preferences like satellite mode.
